Bio: Michael has worked within the water industry for over 26 years in predominantly operational roles. For the last 4 years he has been the Network Control Manager responsible for the daily operation of the strategic water network serving over 2.5 million customers in the North East of England. Working from the Regional Control Centre, Washington Michael leads a team of 24 staff including control room personnel, analysts and senior technical advisors who’s aim is to ensure they deliver the right quantity of water, at the right quality and cost at all times thus ensuring they deliver a first class service to their customers. He is keen to promote and deliver an advanced proactive network control function for the business and has been a key project lead involved in the installation of the Derceto Aquadapt system within NWL.
